I am sitting in the café of the University Library. And I’m hungry. Really hungry. Of course, right now all vegan breads are sold out. There are panini with dried tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. With feta. And with good Serrano sending. Right now I find the Veganuary really stupid!

Honestly. If I said that I had been easypeasy for the past two weeks, that would be a lie.

But the Veganuary definitely has its good sides. The reflection of prejudices and unknown, amazing taste sensations included. Curious?

Aaaaalso. For the first few days I was quite hungry quite often. Then I screwed up my intake of vegetable proteins like legumes and cereals. Lo and behold, magically, hunger was gone.

Veggies and Vegan Substitutes are also not without.

I have to agree. Best example is soya yogurt. I love yogurt, with us there is almost every morning yogurt with fruit. But with all the ingredients needed to make soy milk a creamy yogurt, I’m always thinking twice now. And on tofu: I really tried to make friends with it. But this consistency. Child, without meat, sausage and cheese, you will fall off your bones.

Now comes the best part of the vegan diet: you can always eat your fill. In fact, as a vegan, you basically have to eat more to absorb the same energy content as an omnivor. For me as a mass-eater (good food just makes you happy) a dream!

Full power through vegan diet.

Of course I could say: dear ones, I have never felt physically as fit as I am at the moment. That would be a bit geflunkert. I feel well and fit, but I felt well even before my vegan self-experiment. Maybe this enlightenment will come after four weeks. Or after a longer time?

A vegan diet makes:

  • Fed, if you include enough herbal protein in the diet.
  • Creative in the kitchen.
  • Larger portion to duty (jackpot!).
  • It may not be that easy for a replacement product.
