In the end, I chose three beloved delicacies:

Brand new in the cooking carousel are the Lemon Poopy Seed Cookies. Even the name sounds terrific, right? The lemony biscuits are delicately tender with a refreshing citrus note. The model for these cookies was the American housewife Martha Stewart. However, I could not leave it again and have doubled the amount of poppy seeds. Much helps a lot, right? Ju had a fresh citrus kick in the form of orange marmalade with zest and ginger . Orangiges Frühstücksglück Deluxe can never hurt.

Lemon Poppy Seed Cookies

Ingredients

  •   Juice and Abrasion of a Lemon
  •   60 + 40

      Butter
  •   230
      g
      flour
  •   1
      TL
      baking powder
  •   1/2
      TL
      salt
  •   180
      g
      Sugar
  •   1
      egg
  •   2
      TL
      vanilla extract
  •   4
      TL
      Mohl

Instructions

  1. Oven on 180 Preheat degree. Cover baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Simmer lemon juice over medium heat in a small saucepan until halved. Stir 60 g of butter in flakes until the butter has melted.

  3. Mix flour, salt and baking powder.

  4. Stir the remaining butter with the hand mixer under 100 g of sugar. Add egg and cooled lemon butter and mix for 3 minutes.

  5. Vanilla extract and fold in half of the lemon. Stir in the flour mixture and poppy seeds until well combined.

  6. Mix leftover limescale and sugar in a small bowl. Form a tablespoon of dough into a ball and roll in the lemon sugar.

  7. Spread the balls a little bit apart on the baking tray and press on the underside of a glass 0.5 cm wide. Sprinkle with a little more poppy seeds.

  8. Bake the biscuits for 8-11 minutes until they turn brown at the corners.
