May I Introduce: Indian Chickpea Curry . My very big, long-lasting love!

You have to imagine the curry like this: Chopped tomatoes, chickpeas and peppers simmer to a thick, spicy sauce. Cumin and chilli add a touch of flavor and a pinch of yoghurt completes the meal.

Super easy and fast and pleasantly warm and filling and the absolute after-work service.

Hand on the heart. Quite possibly it could be that the man and I in the early years of the student almost permanently fed this curry. In defense of our then very one-sided nutritional style (apart from of course pasta, which must not be suppressed) I must say: Indian chickpea curry is just a stunner!

For me, there is hardly a recipe that is as easy and delicious as this curry. I mean, look at the To Do list. Here we have:

1. Schnibbeln. For this you cut onions and peppers into pieces. Fertich is.

2nd roast. Next you steam the onion for two minutes and fry the pieces of pepper.

3. Simmer. Finally, add all the remaining ingredients, simmer for 15 minutes and the dinner is ready.

And now imagine this thick, spicy curry with a decent taste of natural yoghurt. If you enjoy the curry just like that, you’re even on the road. If you’d rather bite something to bite, that’s not a problem either: treat yourself to a nice piece of flatbread or a crusty farmer’s bread.

Indian Chickpea Curry

This quick and easy after-work recipe is healthy and SO good!

Ingredients
  •   1
      medium-sized onion
  •   1
      red pepper
  •   1 1/2
      EL
      Olive oil
  •   400
      g
      chopped tomatoes
      1 can
  •   400
      g
      chickpeas
      washed, 1 can
  •   2
      EL
      Tomato paste
  •   2
      TL
      Cumin
  •   1
      TL
      Curry
  •   Chili to taste
  •   2
      EL
      Natural yoghurt or soy yoghurt

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion and cut the peppers into medium-sized pieces. Sauté the onion cubes in oil until glassy and add the pieces of pepper. Sauté for about 2 minutes, then add the chopped tomatoes and chickpeas. Stir well, add tomato paste and spices. Stir again, then simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve with a dollop of yogurt.

  2. Naan, flatbread or couscous, for example, are delicious.
