Psst, I’ll tell you something! As much as I love the typical home cooking, with the classic Beef classic red cabbage, I could never make friends. I just like red cabbage raw. A perfect example is the crisp red cabbage salad with apple and poppy dressing. Crunchy, fresh, light and filling – that’s how red cabbage must taste!
It is rumored that most women would be happy about flowers in between. Mr. Kochkarussell sees it very differently.
He finds cut flowers wither anyway. That’s why he prefers to give me culinary gifts. Just like last weekend, when he came around the corner from the farm shop with a five-kilo mustard red cabbage.
“Look, is not he gigantic?” Full of enthusiasm he grinned at me. Totally gigantic! What my lover did not consider: what should we do with five kilos of red cabbage?
That’s right, the next few days we will feed on red cabbage exclusively. Fortunately, the salad is so deliciously crisp and colorful that we can eat it five times in a row.
For the red cabbage salad you need red cabbage, a few carrots and an apple. Yoghurt, olive oil, honey, poppy seeds and mustard make her a dressing in an instant. Then you grate the carrots and cut cabbage and apple into thin strips. Ready is the colorful Sattmacher.
Whether you’re looking for an alternative to traditional red cabbage or a crisp, fresh salad, this vitamin bomb will delight you!
