Most delicious in the sense of -> creamy porridge with almonds roasted briefly in the pan, crisp poppy, banana pieces, a decent load of cinnamon and finally drizzled with maple syrup.
Sweet and creamy and manic and filling AND in 15 minutes on the table.
Yeah, here was the porridge just yesterday for Sunday breakfast. Start of preparations: 8.23 clock. Finished porridge on the table and happy Mia, who can hardly wait to eat: 8.37 am.
Grab your spoon and go for it!
Things that make this porridge perfect:
- Peanut Oats.
- Short-roasted almonds in the pan.
- Banana pieces.
- Maple Syrup.
I tell you. If you put the first spoonful of the creamiest porridge in your mouth, bite on crunchy almonds and poppy seeds and merge maple syrup, banana and cinnamon in a wonderfully sweet and spicy way, then it will blow you out of the pines! Without flax, I could get into this station wagon.
Simple Porridge – Here’s how it works
First you cook the oatmeal with milk and water. While the porridge is blubbering, you chop the almonds roughly and toast them in a pan for a few minutes. As soon as the porridge is creamy, you stir in cinnamon and poppy seeds and spread the whole on bowls. On the top there are almonds, banana slices, maple syrup and all those who like it quite decadent, indulge in some more almond musk.
That’s it. Super easy.
A few tips on the recipe.
- Instead of pungent oatmeal you can also take the tender variety. This one has a bit less bite and the consistency of the porridge changes a bit.
- I also LOVE the porridge with hazelnuts and hazelnut sauce.
- Any kind of fruit goes perfectly with it.

Banana and cinnamon porridge with maple syrup
This recipe for banana and cinnamon porridge with maple syrup is awesome. In 15 minutes on the table, of course, sweet and SO delicious!

- Maple syrup
Boil oatmeal in a saucepan with milk and water. Simmer with occasional stirring for about 5 minutes.
In the meantime, chop almonds and roast for 3-4 minutes in a pan. Slice bananas.
Once the porridge is creamy, add cinnamon and poppy seeds. Distribute on two plates. Serve with banana, chopped almonds and maple syrup.
